Procedures in the Classroom

What is our morning routine?

• Run into the classroom and throw our book bags down

• Talk really loudly to our friends and not do our work

• You are in your seat, silently working on the warm-up within one minute of entering the classroom

• Running around in the hallway

How do we line up?

• Push in our chairs, make sure our area is clean and walk quietly to line up facing the front

• Leave our chair out and papers all over the floor

• Talk to everyone as we are lining up

• Run to line up so we are first in line

How do we walk down the hallway?

• Running past everyone

• Talking to our friends

• Touching other people

• Quietly with our hands to our side, walking directly behind the person in front of us

What do we do for independent reading time?

• Come in from lunch and talk to my friends

• Come in from lunch, get a pillow/bean bag, and start reading right away

• Stay in the lunch room

• Don't read a book

How do we pack up?

• Pack up whenever we want

• When Mrs. Keller calls our name we get our binders, pack up, and sit quietly to get snack

• When Mrs. Keller calls our name we run out in the hall to get our back pack

• What does pack up mean?

How are we supposed to act in the lunch room?

• Go in and sit down

• Get our tray and sit down

• Wait for our name to be called

• Stand quietly whispering, waiting to get our lunch, staying in our seats until we are called to empty our tray, and not falling in the floor
