Which of the following choices is the best choice for an opening paragraph, including a thesis statement?

Reconstruction was a failure in regards to African-Americans in Louisiana because of sharecropping, black codes and White Supremacists after the Civil War.

Reconstruction was one of the best things that happened in Louisiana. There are many ways to show how it helped and some how it didn’t. If reconstruction wouldn’t of happened we probably wouldn’t have some of the things that we have today. Another thing is that slaves probably wouldn’t have gotten rights.

Which of the following choices is the best choice for an opening paragraph, including a thesis statement?

Reconstruction was a success in regards to African-Americans in Louisiana. In my 5-paragraph essay, I am going to be talking about how this reconstruction was a success and what it led up to for the African Americans. Many things happened after the reconstruction, some good and some bad, and I am going to be talking about that.

Overall, Reconstruction was a big success when concerning freed African Americans. Three reasons why the reconstruction act was so successful was because it resulted in the creation of the 14th and 15th amendments, it suppressed white supremacy groups, and it helped support African Americans during their time of need.

The reconstruction was a success because it helped blacks get homes and jobs. Also it helped them get schools and educations as well. Also it gave African Americans their rights and able to vote. Another way the reconstruction was successful regard to African Americans was the freedmen's bureau which helped the freed black after the war was over. Which gave them lots of help and got them on their feet.
