Classroom Etiquette

classroom etiquette means:

• always using materials and tools safely and only as intended

• being kind to self and others

• helping others

• all of the above

what is expected of me in the classroom?

• to stay on task and work on assigned project

• to stay motivated and ask for help when needed

• not touch or handle anything that isn't mine

• ALL OF THE ABOVE

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I GET TO CLASS?

• get my work out and begin working on assigned project

• play on my phone

• shout across the room and visit with others

• hang out and wait for someone to tell me what to do

how do I use the Cherokee language when I need help?

when a student next to me needs help:

• I laugh at them and make fun

• I help them if I am able

• I ignore them and never talk to them

• I talk and distract them from working

To be a successful student, I

• follow directions

• stay on task, don't distract others

• ask for help when needed

• ALL OF THE ABOVE

WHEN I NEED HELP, I am expected to:

• ask for help (sgi sde la) and wait

• get up and run around the room

• start picking at my neighbor and being a distraction

• just give up and quit working

during class it is NOT OK for me to:

• talk to classmates using inside voices

• listen to my music with earphones

• stay on my phone making phone calls and texting or being on social media

• get up and get what I need to do my work

During class it is expected that I:

• Keep my hands to myself, don't touch others or others' work

• be respectful to my teacher, classmates, materials and classroom

• stay on task and continue to work, even when there is a substitute

• meet deadlines for class projects and google classroom assignments

• ALL OF THE ABOVE

5 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS IS OVER, I AM EXPECTED TO:

• CLEAN UP AFTER MYSELF

• WIPE OFF TABLE WHERE I WORKED AND SWEEP FLOOR IF NEEDED

• PUT ANY TOOLS AND MATERIALS BACK WHERE I GOT THEM BEFORE I LEAVE

• PUT MY PROJECT AWAY

• ALL OF THE ABOVE
