• Read the sections before and after each gap and predict what will go there.

• Underline clues (e.g. verb forms, reference words like pronouns, time references, etc.) that might be repeated later.

• Underline grammatical links (e.g. same verb form), topic links, parallel phrases, near-synonyms, etc. in the 7 sentences.
