A scholar is laying across the bed during her remote learning class session.

• Call or text Ms. Marshall

• Send a private message to the scholar

• Announce to the class that "____ needs to sit up"

• Give a shout out to other students that are sitting up straight with "readiness to learn"!

A scholar keeps leaving and rejoining the Zoom meeting.

• Call or text Ms. Marshall

• Send a private message to the scholar asking, "if you are experiencing technical difficulties please call 904-647-8552 ext. 1304"

• Announce to the class, "stop leaving the room or you will be marked absent."

• Ignore it and keep teaching!

While looking at your "gallery" of the class, you notice a distracting situation on one of the cameras (brother/sister, pet, scholar walking around the room, etc.)

• Call or text Ms. Marshall

• Send a private message to the scholar asking, "I am going to turn off your camera for a moment so that you can clear your area of any distractions"

• Announce to the class, "please tell that person that you are in class"

• Ignore it and keep teaching

A scholar posts a comment to everyone, "hey ya'll whatcha doin?"

• Call or text Ms. Marshall

• Send a private message to the scholar asking them to use the chat for academic questions and responses only

• Announce to the class, "stop chatting"

• Change chat setting to "participant can chat with no one"

You have redirected a scholar three times, sent them a private chat and they are still causing a disruption.

• Call or text Ms. Marshall

• Remove from Zoom meeting

• Announce to the class, "I'm tired of repeating myself. Leave my class."

• Mute their mic, disable their camera and contact parent on Dojo
