• One hand on the chin and one hand on the chest.

• Have the victim walk with you to the first aid station so you can obtain consent and provide care.

• Provide care immediately based on the victim’s condition.

• Open the airway and check for breathing and a pulse.

• Control the bleeding with any available resources.

• Early CPR to keep oxygen-rich blood flowing and to help delay brain damage and death.

• Check for breathing

• Give chest compressions.

• Give abdominal thrusts.

• Apply the pads and allow the AED to analyze the heart rhythm.
