A while ago, brown marmorated stink bugs were accidentally introduced to North America. Since then, they have begun to damage fruit and harm crops. They tend to invade homes in large numbers and cause quite a nuisance. Scientists are trying to find a solution. One thing they are considering is introducing a species of wasp that comes from Asia. This wasp is a predator of stink bugs. Scientists are hoping this might solve the problem.

Manatees are large animals that can be found in coastal areas and many other places. They are known to be gentle and slow-moving. For many reasons, manatees are on the threatened animal list. Many manatees are getting struck by boat propellers. They are also dying after ingesting fishing hooks and other types of pollution. Human actions are endangering the manatees.

Oceans are large bodies of saltwater. There are five oceans in the world. The United States of America has the Atlantic Ocean on the East Coast and the Pacific Ocean on the West Coast. Although they are both oceans, they are different. The Pacific is the largest ocean and the Atlantic is the second largest. The Pacific is also larger than the Atlantic. The Atlantic Ocean surface waters are saltier than the Pacific Ocean surface waters.

One challenge facing animals today is the overcrowding of animal shelters. Only about half of the animals taken in by shelters are adopted. That leaves a lot of animals without homes. One way we can help animals is by adopting our pets instead of buying them from a pet store. We can also help by teaching people to be responsible pet owners. If people love and care for their pets the right way, we will have fewer animals in our shelters. Our animal friends need our help, so that they can live safe and happy lives.

Mimicry and camouflage are both adaptations animals might have. Both mimicry and camouflage help animals survive in the wild. However, they are not exactly the same. Camouflage means that an animal is blending in with their environment by changing its color or possessing body colors or spots that match their environment. Mimicry is when an animal evolves to look like another species.
