Can You Survive The Amazon Rainforest?

1. You wash ashore with a gash in your elbow, but it doesn't look deadly. What should you do first?

• Find water. Immediately.

• Give up; it's been a good life.

• Curse the Wright Brothers for their work on the airplane.

• Treat the wound as best you can. You need to stabilize it.

2. Now that you have treated your wound you decide to look for water. How should you find water?

• Look for the nearest river and drink up.

• Look for a muddy area and start digging.

• Cut into a tree-vine and try to drink the fluids inside.

• Sit and wait for rain.

3. You hear something and turn around. Suddenly you are face to face with a curious jaguar.

• Make noise to scare the cat off.

• Slowly back away, trying not to draw attention to yourself.

• Uh, dinner's served?

• Turn and SPRINT into the jungle.

4. The jaguar decides to leave you alone. Your fear turns to hunger. What now?

• Scavenge for berries.

• Hunt for fish.

• Go on a hunt for that jaguar.

• Don't risk eating anything in this jungle.

5. You need some rest for a full day of hunting in the morning. Where are you sleeping

• Curled up under a bush.

• Let's make a simple lean-to shelter.

6. Well-rested, you decide it's time to get outta here. What's the best way to track your direction?

• Track animal trails to their natural ends to find water.

• Travel only at night, moving with the stars.

• Follow the moss on tree trunks, it always points north.

7. Besides predators, what should be one of your primary concerns in the wild?

• Piranhas. This is the jungle, after all.
