What outfit is appropriate to wear in a Zoom meeting?

• Sunglasses, so I can take a snooze during class without hurting my teacher's feelings.

• Darth Vader Mask and Lightsaber because I want to show my science teacher how to "Use the Force".

• Favorite T-shirt (without inappropriate references) and pants.

• Pajamas, because they are comfy.

Why is it important to turn your Zoom video on?

• It'll be easier to get to know each other if we can SEE each other.

• Your teacher needs to be able to verify that all participants are his/her students, and not Thanos, or some other intruder.

• You'll be more likely to stay on task if you know your teacher is helping to keep you accountable.

• All answers are correct! :)

What can you write in the chat?

• Inappropriate References

• A waterfall of emojis and off-topic commentary

• Disrespectful or rude comments/questions

• On-Topic and appropriate questions or comments to the group or teacher

When should I turn my audio on?

• The whole Zoom meeting: we want to be able to hear each other the whole time.

• When the teacher is talking: if you have a question, you need to be able to quickly cut him/her off to speak.

• Only when it is your turn to talk: as soon as you are finished speaking, turn your microphone off.

• Never. I should only talk to the teacher and class using the chat section because it slows the class down and I really enjoy doing extra homework.

Is it ok to record my teacher's lectures if I want extra help with the content?

• Yes! Recording lectures will make you a supergenius.

• No! In order to maintain the privacy of other students and your teacher, it is essential that you do NOT record lectures. Check your teacher's BLEND page or ask them for resources if you need extra help.

• No! The teacher is already making a recording to share with everyone, even Thanos.

• Yes! Your teacher wants to become famous.

What will happen first if a student is causing a disruption during a Zoom meeting?

• You'll be sent to the ISS (International Space Station) using a space rocket Mrs. Wu designed for the school.

• Nothing, your teacher is powerless.

• You'll get kicked out of the Zoom call and will be placed in a waiting room until your teacher decides to let you back in.

• Your teacher will assign the entire class extra homework.

Why is it important to set an alarm that goes off 5 - 10 minutes before each of your classes?
