What is learning style?

• the general approaches students used to learn a new subject or tackle a new problem.

• the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience, or being taught.

• the act of putting food into the mouth and chew and swallow it.

• a particular procedure by which something is done.

These are some types of learning styles:

• Social / Interpersonal

• Visual

• Aural / Musical

• Kinaesthetic

You store information by the way it sounds & you have easier time understanding spoken instructions than written ones.

• Visual learners

• Kinaesthetic learners

• Verbal learners

• Logical learners

This type of learner often colour code things.

• Solitary / intrapersonal learners

• Visual / spatial learners

• Verbal / linguistic learners

• Logical / mathematical learners

Social/Interpersonal learners should:

• Learn independently.

• Learn through seeing.

• Learn through numbers.

• Learn in groups.

Visual learners should:

• Think in words rather than pictures.

• Create vivid mental images to retain information.

• Think conceptually in logical and numerical patterns.

• Learn through moving, doing, and touching.

Physical / kinaesthetic learners should:

• Think in words rather than pictures.

• Create vivid mental images to retain information.

• Think conceptually in logical and numerical patterns.

• Learn through moving, doing, and touching.

Logical / mathematical learners should:

• Think in words rather than pictures.

• Create vivid mental images to retain information.
