Science procedures and norms

What is science?

• The study of nature.

• The study of animals and plants.

• The study of the stars, moon, and earth.

• Everything observable in the natural world. Science is everything.

• All of the above.

When will my science class be held?

• Only every other Monday except holidays.

• On Saturday and Sunday.

• Only on days when a full moon is present.

• Once a week as arranged through your home room teacher.

Items needed to be prepared for science are:

• Science Journal and a pencil, a charged computer device, and a headset.

• Science Journal and a pencil, a charged computer or a chord for charging, a headset, and a readiness to learn.

• Science Journal and a pencil, a charged computer, headset, and kindness and respect for your classmates and teacher.

• All the above.

What kind of extra credit can I do for science class?

• Cook dinner with your family. Food science and mixing of ingredients is called Chemistry.

• Take a hike with your family. Earth Science is the study of the land all around us.

• Build and design a bridge out of paper or a house of cards. That's Engineering and Science.

• Go outside and observe the location of the Sun at various times of the day. Observe the moon too. Astronomy is the study of the planets, stars, and the universe.

• All the above and much, much, more.

Where can I find science assignments and grade book.

• Ask your teacher.

• On my homeroom teacher's desk.

• In Science Google Classroom.

• It can not be found anywhere.

All science lessons, assignments, independent work, google questions, quizzes, and work to complete if you have extra time are easy to find.

• Look in your google classroom under your homeroom teacher's name.

• In science google classroom under classwork. This is the BEST option.

• In the science google classroom under stream.

• In the science google classroom under options.

Once the teacher instructs me to open my computer and log into Science Google Classroom, I can check to see if an assignment is missing by:

• Asking my table neighbor.

• Checking with my home room teacher. .

• Go to Classwork and scroll down to see if any assignment or question is glowing or illuminated and/or check with your teacher at the end of science.

• Missing assignments are to remain missing.

If you need to talk to Mrs. Wilson, It is best to

• Come and see me during our science session anytime. Make observations so you know when is the best time during class:)

• Write to me at [e-mail] and include your full name and home room teacher name.

• Come up to my teacher area and let me know that you would like to talk to me. We will work out the best time.

If you are absent from class during your scheduled science day, the best option is .....

• Email Mrs. Wilson at [e-mail]

• Log into your Science Google Classroom and look under Classwork for lessons, assignments, quizziz, and google questions. Complete the assignments.

• If you are absent, you are excused from your science work.

• Answer B is the best choice.

Once your Science session is over, you should...

• Go to your science google classroom and make certain you do not have any missing assignments.

• Watch videos that are available to you in your Science Google Classroom.

• Get involved with your learning by making scientific observations by looking at the world around you. Enjoy a hike, get some exercise, look up at the night sky, and talk to your family science topics. Remember: Science is Everywhere. Science is everything.
