In ayat 85, Allah سبحانه وتعالى says – Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest. This is referring to which action of the Jews? Choose any two options.

Killing their own brethren ( which was against the Tawrat )

Ransoming the prisoners ( according to the Tawrat)

Staying neutral in war

Not cooperating with the disbelievers

Answer explanation

Allah criticized the Jews who lived in Al-Madinah during the time of the Messenger of Allah. There were three Jewish tribes in Al-Madinah at that time, Banu Qaynuqa` and Banu An-Nadir, the allies of the Khazraj, and Banu Qurayzah, who used to be the allies of the Aws. When war erupted between Aws and Khazraj, their Jewish allies would assist them. The Jew would kill his Arab enemy, and sometimes they also killed Jews who were the allies of the other Arab tribe, although the Jews were prohibited from killing each other according to clear religious texts in their Books. They would also drive each other from their homes and loot whatever furniture and money they could. When the war ended, the victorious Jews would release the prisoners from the defeated party, according to the rulings of the Tawrah.

They grew arrogant and denied him.

They resisted temptation and followed him.

They killed some of them.

They left him to preach as he pleased.

Answer explanation

Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent after him successive messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى supported Isa عليه السلام with

his friend

Ruhul Qudus - The Holy Spirit

Mikaeel عليه السلام

Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Answer explanation

“And We gave ‘Eesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Rooh-ul-Qudus [Jibreel (Gabriel)]

[al-Baqarah 2:87]

This is not limited only to the Messiah; others were also supported in this way. (The scholars) mentioned that Dawood said, “Do not stop supporting me with Rooh al-Qudus.” And our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Hassaan ibn Thaabit, “O Allaah, support him with Rooh al-Qudus.” According to another report: “Rooh al-Qudus will be with you so long as you are defending His Prophet.” Both versions are narrated in al-Saheeh.
