What is SLOPE RATIO?

Which of the statement below is INCORRECT?

Slope or gradient of a ramp, is the angular relationship between its rise (vertical height) and its horizontal projection or length (run), often expressed as a ratio.

1:12 slope ratio means that for every inch of rise, you will need one meter of ramp. As an example, a 12 inch rise would require a 12 meter ramp to achieve a 1:12 ratio.

Slope percentage is calculated in much the same way as the gradient. Convert the rise and run to the same units and then divide the rise by the run. Multiply this number by 100 and you have the percentage slope.

Slope gradient is a key factor in influencing the relative stability of a slope.
