Ancient Egyptian Society - Who am I?

The pharaoh gave me responsibility for ruling over my region of Egypt and keeping law and order there.

I am a prisoner of war. I work in the households of nobles or in mines or quarries.

I am responsible for keeping written records in Ancient Egypt.

I am a skilled worker. I make jewellery, pottery and clothing.

I am responsible for performing rituals and ceremonies in temples. These keep the gods happy.

I am the pharaoh’s chief adviser. I administer the kingdom and settle disputes between nobles.

I trade goods using the barter system. This means I exchange my goods for other goods.

I am the ruler and religious leader.

I produce food for the royal family.

I am at the bottom of Ancient Egyptian society.
