Friday is the best day of the week. I know that a lot of kids say that Saturday or Sunday is the best day of the week because there’s no school on those days, but I believe they are mistaken. Fridays are like this “in-between” delight with lots of little treats. I find that we often get to do fun things at school on Fridays. It also seems like both my parents and my teachers are just a little more relaxed on Fridays, too. At my school, Friday is always School Pride Day, where everyone wears our school colors. There is often extra excitement on Fridays during football and basketball season, as my classmates and I discuss our plans to go to the high school game that evening. The very best thing about Fridays, though, is that when school ends on Friday afternoon, I know I have the entire weekend to look forward to! That makes Friday the best day of the week!

Hey Josie,” Josie’s mom said, “What’s this?” “Oh yeah! That’s the permission slip I need you to sign so I can join the Drama Club!” Josie replied. “Really! And just when do you think you will find time for that?” said her mom. “I knew you would ask that. I’ve got it all figured out!” Josie said proudly. “The Drama Club meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school. I don’t have any activities before school on those days.” “That is true, Josie. However, I am certain you will have lines to practice for Drama Club. Have you thought about when you might find time for that? You have swim practice on Mondays, dance on Tuesdays, tumbling on Wednesdays, piano lessons on Thursdays, taekwondo on Fridays, and swim meets on Saturdays!” “Sundays?” Josie asked sheepishly, before pausing and then sighing. “You’re right, Mom.”
