When using a dryer

• dry at any heat setting

• dry at the temperature the label tells you to use

• don't use a dryer

• only use the coolest setting

Use bleach

• on all fabrics

• by pouring directly on the fabric

• to get out stains on fabrics that are safe for bleach

• only to sanitize dishes

To launder new brightly colored clothes you should

• take them to the dry cleaner first

• wait and never wash them

• throw in with your load of whites

• wash separately first

When ironing be sure to

• use steam on all clothes

• always use the highest temperature

• use steam only when the label says it is ok

• always use the lowest temperature

The 3 P's of stain removal are patience, promptness, and

• placement

• prevalence

• persistence

• progress

When you get a stain on your clothes

• don't tell anybody

• put yourself in time out you naughty person

• throw the piece of clothing away

• act on it as quickly as possible

If you get something out of your closet that you decide to not wear,

• throw it in the hamper

• put it in a pile on your floor

• hang it back up

• stuff it in the back of your closet

The longer you let a stain set without acting on it,

• the more difficult it will be to get the stain out

• it will be more likely the stain will just disappear

• it won't make any difference

• the easier it will be to get the stain out

If an item says "Dry clean only" on the label, it means

• a coin operated dry cleaning machine can be used

• water should not be used on the item

• you should take it to the dry cleaner to be cleaned

• all of the above

When your dryer is done drying your clothes

• wait as long as you can to take them out

• take them out promptly to reduce wrinkles

• wait 30 minutes then take them out

• turn it on again to go through the drying cycle again
