A form of bribery that is done by citizens performing illegal activities and operations. They deliver a huge amount of money to high-ranking officials particularly those in-charge of enforcing the law in exchange for unhampered illegal operations. Money paid, especially at regular intervals, to criminals or to corrupt officials who threaten to cause harm to the payer or to his or her business if the money is not paid.
