Two of these are solid advice for taking the ACT:

• If it doesn't fit, you must omit! (i.e., if the sentence seems out of place or irrelevant, take it out)

• When you're stressed, quit the test! (i.e, just fill in your letter of the day and take a nap)

• When in doubt, take it out! (i.e., if you're on the fence about whether a sentence is necessary or not, delete it)

• When in doubt, scream and shout! (and then see what Mrs. Lund does)
