Who was Surah ad-Duha revealed to?

• Angel Jibreel عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ

• Abu Bakr رَضِيَ ٱللّٰهُ عَنْهُ

• Prophet Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ

• Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ

What does the word السَّائِلَ mean?

What does وَالضُّحَى mean?

What does the verse وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى mean?

• and the night when it falls still!

• relieved you of the burden

• nor repulse the beggar

• By the morning sunlight

What does the verse مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى mean?

• Your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺

• And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased

• And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?

• So, once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺

What does the verse وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى mean?

• So, once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺

• And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?

• And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one

• Your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺

What does the verse وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى mean?

• And proclaim the blessings of your Lord

• And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?

• And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one

• And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased

What does the verse أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَى mean?

• Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you?

• Did He not find you unguided then guided you?

• And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?

• Surely with ˹that˺ hardship comes ˹more˺ ease
