Ch. 22- Where is Cathy when she again encounters Heathcliff?

• At Thrushcross Grange taking care of Edgar. She see Heathcliff from the window and goes out to see what he wants.

• She is out on the moors and has fallen when Heathcliff comes riding up to her and takes her back to Thrushcrosss Grange.

• She has climbed over the wall that separates their property from the road. The door in the wall is locked and she cannot return to the other side. Heathcliff rides up to her and begins a conversation.

• She is trying to get a letter to Linton by talking to a farm hand and Heathcliff appears with a letter to her from Linton.

• She cannot stand seeing Cathy upset, and she hopes seeing Linton will prove to Cathy that Heathcliff is lying about his condition.

• She is angry because Linton is especially cruel to Hareton and he is angry that she does not find it funny.

• She is angry because Linton says that her mother never loved her father and that she loved Heathcliff instead. Linton becomes upset when Cathy tells him that his mother left Heathcliff.
