What does the Arabic word " النَّبَاءُ " (naba') mean ?

• Notice

• Letter

• Very important news

• Very serious warning

Who are the people ALLAH (subhanahu wa ta'ala) is referring to in suratul Naba' i.e. the ones questioning each other and in disagreement ?

• The Muslims

• The People of Madinah

• The Persians

• The Polytheists of Makkah & Other Disbelievers

What does the ayah above mean ?

• No! They are going to know.

• No! They will never know.

• Before this they did not know

• Tomorrow they will surely know

Why does ALLAH (subhanahu wa ta'ala) repeat the statement above in ayah 4 and 5 ?

• Only for emphasis

• Because ALLAH is talking to 2 different groups of people

• To give an added meaning and context

• Just incase we didn't hear it the first time

Why does ALLAH switch the discussion in ayah 6 from earlier speaking about those who disbelieve in the day of judgement to speaking about some of the things ALLAH created ?

• Because Surah Naba' was initially two separate surahs which were later combined into 1

• As a reminder to mankind of the rahmah of ALLAH and HIS immense power

• As a reminder to mankind of the importance of preserving the earth

• In order to make mankind fearful
