Meditation verse for the book of 2 Samuel chapters 3&4:

In Chapter 3 we learn about how the house of David grew stronger because God was with him, and the house of Saul grew weaker. Also how Abner tried to join David, but Joab killed him to revenge for his brother.

In chapter 4 we learn about how the kingdom of Saul came to an end as Ishbosheth was not a real king. He was killed while sleeping in his bed; to leave the kingdom with only one heir: ‘Mephibosheth’ the son of Jonathan; a lame kid, incapable of ascending the throne.

In chapter 4 verse 8 by the death of Ishbosheth Saul’s kingdom came to end! David waited 7 years and half until all the tribes of Israel submitted to him, before that he waited many years after the Lord anointed him in his father’s house. We learn to be patient for the Lord and never lose heart in prayers, because God had the perfect timing for you.
