Lunch/Recess

How will teachers take you to lunch?

• Running in a line

• Dancing through the halls

• Walking in a line

• Zigging and zagging down the hall

Where can you definitely not go at recess?

• On the track and football field

• Soccer/Baseball field

• On the bleachers

• On the basketball court

How will you know when recess is over?

• Whenever you want

• The sun sets two minutes prior to the end of recess.

• A sonic boom will be heard two minutes prior to the end of recess.

• A siren or whistle will be heard two minutes prior to the end of recess.

How will you get your school lunch once you're in the cafeteria?

• You will get dismissed by Advisory class to get school lunch.

• Your Advisory class will run to the the school lunch line.

• It will be delivered by Grub Hub.

• Students are not allowed to eat at school, so eat a big breakfast.

Where do you get to sit at lunch?

• Anywhere you want, it's a free country.

• At a table with my friends, I will save spots.

• There are no tables, so everyone stands.

• At an assigned table.

What does RISE look like and sound like in the cafeteria?

• It should look like lions running for a feast and sound like recess.

• It should look like and sound like a mosh pit.

• It should look like and sound like lunch at elementary school with older kids.

• It should look like sloths moving and sound like a library.

When can you leave the cafeteria?

• You will be dismissed and escorted by an adult.

• Whenever I want

• When I'm done eating

• Exit through the doors and go to class

What do you have to do before you're allowed to leave the table?

• Raise your hand, throw away your trash and sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"

• Raise your hand and be sure your area is clean (throw away trash, wipe the table and sweep under your seat)

• Finish all your food, raise your hand and throw away your trash

• Raise your hand and wait for the teacher to clean up after you.

How do you re-enter the building after recess is over?

• Line up with your cohort then have someone bang on the door until an adult opens it and continue recess in the hall all the way back to class.

• Line up with your cohort in a specific location and the teacher will have you enter the building quietly.

• Line up with your cohort and come in once the door is opened.

• Line up with your cohort, shout out Raptors RISE then you'll be allowed in the building.

What sport/game is not allowed during recess?

• Quidditch

• Volleyball

• Basketball

• Tackle Football

• Video Games
