• station error

Define “AFFECTED VIAL”?

• all the vials that the instrument believes are partially seated (not fully inserted in their stations)

• vials that have experienced either a failure in the instrument’s, incubation subsystem, or an extended gap in test readings within the last 30 days.

• total counts for contaminant, positives, and negative cultures, as well as percent of total cultures for each of these counts

if one station full of samples is marked as unusable station, what would you do?
