Where is the Matrix?

• found immediately below the cuticle

• Protects the fingertips and hyponychium

• it protects the nail bed and helps the nail grow straight

What is the function of the cuticle?

• Its main function is to protect the nail bed.

Where is the nail bed?

What is the term Keritinisation?
