Friends are

Acquaintances are

• people you may encounter regularly, but who are not friends or relatives

• someone you are very close with and see all the time

• boyfriend or girlfriend

A romantic relationship

• is an acquaintance

• is one in which you feel very strongly attracted to the other person, both to their personality and, often, also physically

• is a stranger

In order to develop positive relationships, one thing you should NOT do is
