During your time at NCI, you have inspired many people and supported them in their careers. Is there anyone whom you would credit with inspiring you and supporting your career?

• Jimmy, for the smart way he dresses.

• Robert, for his ability to recreate just about any scene from any music video or movie.

• It's too difficult to answer and choose just one person

Throughout your time as lecturer and Dean in the SOC, you have no doubt attended many programme validation panels, which was your favourite?

• Web Tech - for how the internal and external panels had completely opposing opinions

• FinTech - for the lengthy debate on whether to use an upper or lowercase 'T'.

• MSc. in AI - as it was the last hurrah

Working in Higher Education, and indeed Computing, we are constantly learning new things. What is your biggest lesson learned during your time at NCI?

• Avoid the staff common room at lunch time during exams

• How to pronounce just about any Irish name for graduation

• To keep learning and be a step ahead

What has been your favourite part of your role as Dean of SOC?

• Getting to taste all of Margaretes homemade cakes at school celebrations

• All of the free lunches!

• The pedagogical innovations in the school

We're sure you will miss us all terribly, but what will you miss the most about working at NCI?

• The nightlife in Laguna

• Teaching vignettes at school meetings

• Walking the corridors on the 3rd floor and saying hello

When you look back over your time at NCI, what is the legacy that you leave behind?

• An office full of boxes and piles of paperwork that's still waiting to be filed

• The now 2nd largest school of Computing in the country (thanks to TU Dublin!)

• A progressive and innovative school

And finally, what advice would you give, to those of us whom you are leaving behind?
