In our cities, air pollution is a big problem. To be able to survive, we need clean air. The air in our cities is dirty for many reasons. A big reason is because of automobiles. Cars, trucks, and buses—to name a few—give off harmful gases that pollute the air. Industries that do not have appropriate filters on smoke stacks also cause pollution. Laws that are passed help keep people from polluting, but if they are not passed it adds to the problem. The main cause of pollution is money. To make sure that laws are followed, money is needed. Money is also needed for companies to put in air filters.This is money that some people don’t want to have to spend. If we want clean air to breathe, money really shouldn’t mean much.

Many people don’t realize that frogs and toads differ in many ways, although they do belong to the same animal group. Frogs need to live near water to survive, while toads do not. Toads have rough, dry, bumpy skin. Frogs have smooth, moist skin, and their bodies are narrow compared to the toad’s wide body. A frog has many predators, but toads have skin that lets out a bitter taste and smell that burns the eyes and nostrils of its predators, resulting in fewer predators.

After the British king won the French and Indian War, he proclaimed that no colonists could live past the Appalachian Mountains. Two years later he passes a law on all stamped goods to help pay for the costs of the war. The colonists began to grumble so much he repealed this act. Next he passes the Sugar Act which further upset the colonists so much they boycotted. Thus began the American Revolution.
