Maritza went to visit her grandfather's farm for spring break. In the morning she goes to the chicken coop to get some eggs. Then she spots a really big unfamiliar egg, she picks it up and brings it home. She wants to know what kind of chicken would lay a blue egg. Her grandfather smiled and asked her to do some research about the kind of chicken that would lay a blue egg.

Ally must return her library book and she can't find it. She searched the house. She doesn't want to search her closet because it's so messy. However, when she opened her closet door, a rat was sitting next to her book. Ally sat there looking at the rat and wondered if she should run out of the room or if she should be brave enough to reach for the book.
