Meditation verse for the book of second kings chapters 1&2: In chapter 1 we read about king Ahaziah when he was sick, and inquired from Baal-Zebub instead of God about his sickness!! Also, Elijah’s prophecy that Ahaziah wouldn’t heal because he didn’t have faith in God, and was a bad example for all the people. In chapter 2 we read about Elijah the fiery prophet, how he went to heaven in a fiery chariot after delivering the prophetic work to his disciple Elisha who desired to have a double portion of the spirit of his master. In chapter 2 verse 9 we see how Elijah was close to God and his prayer was so powerful. We also have this power, if we pray with faith, trusting that God hears us, sees us, and will do the best for us according to His will.
