Our school should have its own small radio station run by students.

They could play appropriate music between classes and at lunch.

Studies show that this could help with the overall mood of the student

body. It could go beyond the music. The station could share important

announcements or even speeches or essays by students. For the

students that participated in running the station, it would also be a great

learning experience. Students could gain skills with electronics, public

speaking, management, sound production, and a whole lot of other

skills, too. Overall, starting a school radio station has nothing but benefits.

We should figure out how to do it immediately.

the final bell. The early start time this year means that school is also

getting out earlier than in years past. We're finding that many parents

are not able to pick up their children at the earlier hour. "Homework

hour" would help solve this problem. It would give students a place to

wait for rides while also being productive. Also, studies by the school

district have found that students are 50% more likely to complete all their

homework if they do it immediately after school. This would help them

do so. For these reasons alone, homework hour seems like a great idea

that we need to put into place at once.
