Define Allegory

• A term to describe any form of Literature that blends ironic humor and wit with criticism for the purpose of ridiculing frailties in individuals and institutions.
  
• A narrative in which characters and setting stand for abstract ideas or moral qualities. In addition to the literal meaning it also has a symbolic meaning.
