Intrinsic motivation is

• behavior that is driven by an external reward

• behavior that is driven by internal rewards

When we are INSTRINSICLY motivated

• there is a natural drive to do something

• we do things bc we enjoy them

• we do things that are naturally satisfying to us

• all of these

doing a behavior in order to earn external rewards or

avoid a punishment
