What does receiving Eucharist do to us? 

• It takes away our hunger 

• It unites us to Jesus in a special way! (we actually EAT God!)

What happens at the Sacrament of reconciliation? 

• Our sins are forgiven by God through the priest

• We are saved from original sin

• We have a chat with the priest about sport

What happens in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony? 

• With the help of Gods grace, the husband and wife help each other become holy, like saints, and they welcome and educate their children

• The husband and wife are healed!

• The husband and wife are free from sin, with the help of Gods grace.

What happens at the sacrament of holy orders?

• Priests are able to perform miracles

• Priests are configured (joined) to Christ, as Priest Prophet and King so they can help people get to heaven!

• Priests get to wear the different coloured clothes during mass.

• The bishop puts on his fancy hat and scratches the priests head.

What does it mean when the priest acts 'in persona Christi'?

•  That the priest is acting as Christ which means that it is really Christ who gives the sacrament.

• The priest is a robot

• That the priest is pretending to be Jesus.

Why can we celebrate the sacraments today?

•  Because the line of priests can be traced back to the Apostles who were given responsibility for the sacraments by Jesus.

• Because church buildings are set up with baptism fonts, chalices, altars and all of the that are needed to celebrate the sacraments.

• Because the bishops wear those awesome hats!

Why are sacraments used by the Church?

• Because we are physical as well as spiritual beings sacraments help us to understand what is happening when we see physical actions that represent what is happening.

• Because it means we get to have a lot of meetings

• Because they are a great excuse to have a party afterwards and so people like to get them.

• Because we like to go to Churches

What does it mean to say that a sacrament is 'efficacious'?

• What it symbolises really happens, it has an effect

• It's just a symbol, nothing happens. 

• Sacraments are as old as dinosaurs
