How to plant a bean seed

Why would you plant a seed?

• To grow a giant beanstalk to steal golden eggs from a giant in the sky.

• To produce another plant of the same kind that the seed came from.

• To hide them for the winter when food is hard to find.

• To fertilise your soil

How deep should we plant our bean seeds?

• At the bottom of the pot

• 5 cm deep

• 7.5 cm deep

• 2.5 cm deep

Why might we plant 2 seeds per hole?

• To give a better chance at least one seed will grow

• It will end up growing beans twice the size

• To get through the seed packet quicker

• Bean seedlings get lonely if they are by themselves
