ELA Classroom Expectations

What is one thing you definitely need to have for class?

• Charged Chromebook

• Nothing to write with

• Your Chromebook not charged

• Your lunch

How do you enter the classroom?

• Loud and acting out

• Beat-boxing the tune of Fresh Prince

• Quietly and to my seat

• Reciting Shakespeare

How should you exit the classroom?

• Leave papers all over the place.

• Pack up my things, check my area, and push in my seat.

• Running out the door because ELA sucks

• Leaving my materials behind

What is our 8th grade cell phone/headphone policy?

• One warning then it's gone! All cell phones in backpacks

• None, 'cause we live on the edge.

• Three strikes, you're out! Lost the phone after three warnings

• We can have our phones at all times.

When can we use the bathroom in ELA?

• Never

• In-between classes

• Whenever we want.

• During a set time, which is only 10 minutes long

What is homework like for ELA?

• Never, ever any homework.

• I make my homework - if I waste time in class, then I will have it.

• There is homework every night

• What is homework?

Where can I go to find my assignments if I am sick or out of the classroom?

• The dark web

• Google Classroom or the agenda board in the class

• Hope for the best and that I didn't have work

• A non-reliable friend

Can we have snacks in the classroom?

• I can always have a snack - even leave crumbs on the floor! WOO

• No, but at 3 PM I can eat during dismissal

• Never, ever have a snack

• Only during core 3

Can we use our cell phones during lunch?

• YES! But I need to be responsible & we can lose this privledge.

• Absolutely not.

How should I walk in the hallways?

• Out and to the right, quietly and respectfully.

• No rules, YOLO!

• Wherever I was as long as I get to class.

• Out and to the right AND I get to be loud.
