Class Rules and Expectations

What do you do when you FIRST get to class?

• Quietly wait outside in the hallway for Ms. Muldawer to let you inside.

• Place your turned-off phone in your backpack.

• Sit in your assigned seat and turn on your Chromebook.

• Chat with your friends until the bell rings.

Once you actually enter C-208, what is the first thing that you do?

• Complete your daily warmup activity

• Sit in your assigned seat

• Turn on your Chromebook and make sure that it is charged.

• Take out any required class materials, including writing utensils and paper.

Where should your phones be during class?

• In your backpack

• In your pocket

• In your hand

• Under your desk

When is it okay to go to the bathroom?

• During class but only during individual work time

• During Passing Period

• During Lunch

• While the teacher is talking or presenting new material

What counts as being on time to class?

• Walking through the door as the bell rings

• When the bell rings, you are sitting quietly in your seat. Your Chromebook is on and you are working on the warmup activity.

• Being in the classroom, even if you are out of your seat or chatting to friends.

• Coming in late because you were with the nurse, the counselor, or someone in the main office.

What are the protocols for leaving class to use the bathroom?

• Ask Ms. Muldawer during independent work time.

• Fill out E-Hall pass online

• Only one girl and one boy can be out at any given time.

• Students must return to class within five minutes

You have a chance to use the bathroom during passing period. Plus you have three emergency passes.

When can I see the counselor?

Pencils should be sharpened before class. If your pencil breaks, ask me for permission to sharpen it.

In groups, you will have new assigned seats. As long as you are sitting where the teacher places you, all is well.

• When the teacher calls on you AND what you have to say is related to the assignment.

• When you have to ask a friend a question.

• When you are talking because you want to interrupt class with off-task questions.
