Output Device

• A piece of computer equipment on which information can be stored.

  Ex. Hard Disk Drive, USB Flash Memory, CD, DVD, etc.

• Any hardware device used to send data from a computer to another device or user.

  Ex. Monitors,  Projectors, Printers Headphones, Speakers

• A peripheral device that accepts data and feeds it into a computer.

  Ex. Keyboard, Mouse, Touch Screen, etc.

Storage Device

• A piece of computer equipment on which information can be stored.

  Ex. Hard Disk Drive, USB Flash Memory, CD, DVD, etc.

• A set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks.

  Ex. Video Player, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.

• A non-volatile data storage device. Maintains stored data when turned off.

  Ex. SATA, SSD, and NVMe

Hardware

• A set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks.

  Ex. Video Player, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.

• A power supply provides components with electric power.

  Ex. Motherboard, RAM, CPU, Hard Drive, Disc Drives, etc.

• Refers to the physical elements of a computer. Most can’t be seen though, they’re inside the computer case.

  Ex. Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse, and Processing Unit

Software

• The part of a computer in which operations are controlled and executed.

  Ex. Single-core, dual-core, quad-core, hexa core, octa-core, and deca core

• A set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks.

  Ex. Video Player, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.

• A device that enables a user to input text into a computer or any electronic machinery.

  Ex. Virtual Keyboard, Gaming Keyboard, Smart Phone Keyboard, etc.

Input Device

• A peripheral device that accepts data and feeds it into a computer.

  Ex. Keyboard, Mouse, Touch Screen, etc.

Central Processing Unit

• The part of a computer in which operations are controlled and executed.

• A printed circuit board that controls the output to a display screen.

  Ex. GPUs come in two different types: Integrated and Dedicated

• A computer input device in the form of a small panel containing different touch-sensitive areas.

  Ex. Two primary types:

  Resistive and Capacitive

Keyboard

• A device that enables a user to input text into a computer or any electronic machinery.

  Ex. Virtual Keyboard, Gaming Keyboard, Smart Phone Keyboard, etc.

• A hand-held pointing device that detects two-dimensional motion relative to a surface.

  Ex. Gaming Mouse, Magic Mouse, Wireless Mouse, Wired Mouse, etc.

• An electronic visual computer display that includes a screen.

  Ex. LED Monitors, Plat Panel Monitors, etc.

Processing Device

• Refers to the physical elements of a computer. Most can’t be seen though, they’re inside the computer case.

  Ex. Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse, and Processing Unit

• Any device inside a computer that interprets and manipulates incoming data during this stage.

  Ex. Network Card, Video Card, Sound Card, Motherboard, etc.

• A set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific tasks.

  Ex. Video Player, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, etc.

Hard Disk Drive

• A cloud computing model that stores data on the Internet through a cloud computing provider who manages and operates data storage as a service.

  Ex. Apple (iCloud), Dropbox, etc.

• A non-volatile data storage device. Maintains stored data when turned off.

  Ex. SATA, SSD, and NVMe

• A form of computer memory that can be read and changed in any order.

  Ex. Hard Drives, CD writers, DVD, etc.

Mouse

• A form of computer memory that can be read and changed in any order.

  Ex. Hard Drives, CD writers, DVD, etc.
