Point of View

Tommy's mom told him that the he needed a haircut. Tommy thought his hair looked cool the way it was, so he whined all the way to Sports Clips. The stylist took one look at Tommy, and realized what the problem was. He whispered to Tommy, and Tommy grinned. Tommy hopped into the chair, and the stylist started snipping away. In 15 minutes, Tommy was the proud owner of a faux-hawk.

The doorbell rang. Scott ran down the stairs. He looked through the peephole and then opened the door. The mailman stood there holding a package. " Is your mother or father home?" Scoot shook his head back and forth. The mailman handed Scott a bulky scanning device and said, "Sign here, please." Scott grabbed the stylus and signed his name.

The phone rang. Sam answered it and on the other end was a voice that he knew very well. It was his teacher. At once, his heart began to beat faster and he couldn't quite get the words to come out. He was nervous and wondering why his teacher would be calling his house. Could it be about what happened today during lunch?

I like to ride the bus to school everyday. I sit with my friends and we play games. I look out the window and watch the houses and cars go by. I bump up and down as the bus goes over the hills. Riding the bus is so much fun!

Sara pulled her jacket around her as the wind began to blow. She told her friend, Jenny, that she needed to go home before it started to rain. Jenny wanted to convince Sara to stay longer, but Sara knew the right thing to do. As Sara began to run, she notice her mom's car coming toward her. She breathed a sigh of relief.
