We have all heard the story of the Spidey Spider. It was supposed to climb a wall, it tried for 7 times and succeeded only during the 8th time. This is an example for which of the following Habit of Mind.

To make our students understand a poem about nature, our English facilitators organise a field trip where they want students to take walk around a park and make a note of everything they hear, they see and smell. This was because they wanted our students to learn the following Habit of Mind.

• Taking responsible risks.

• Gathering data through all senses.

• Remain open to continuous learning.

• Responding with wonderment and awe.    

We asked our students to create maps of their bedrooms,  living rooms, neighbourhood etc to make them understand about directions. This was done so students could present their learning and understanding in the form of a presentation to us. The facilitator is trying to facilitate the following.

Our Formative Assessments are always in the form of Pen and Paper tests where students are expected to reproduce whatever was taught in class. A prior schedule and syllabus are also shared with parents well in advance.
