Theme Review

Jasmine wanted to be an astronaut when she grew up. Her brother said it would be too hard for a girl. Her father said it would be too dangerous for someone so short. Her mother said it wouldn’t be possible for someone who was in a wheelchair. Jasmine never gave up,and proved that she was as smart as any boy, that even though she was short she could figure out ways to get what she needed, and even though her legs didn’t work, her brain made up for it. Jasmine became the first female with a disability in space when she grew up.

Rover was proud of the nice, meaty bone he had. He showed it off to other dogs in the park, but he made sure they didn’t come too close. He walked over the bridge across the river as he left the park and saw another dog beneath him, with an even bigger bone! Rover let go of his bone to try and grab the other dog’s, and his bone fell into the water with a splash! Only then did Rover realize tha the had been looking at his own reflection.
