CS Key Things to Know

In the video about debugging the two guys created a program that:

• Only counted up when you pressed A on the Microbit.

• Showed tally marks for each time you pressed B.

• Counted up and down when you pressed A and B on the Microbit.

• The displayed the next letter in the alphabet each time you pressed A.

In the video we watched yesterday, when you click the middle grey button under the emulator:

• you are in safe mode where the code is protected from bugs.

• your are in snail mode where the program runs super slow to help you find bugs.

• you are in emulator mode and can edit everything.

• you are in debugging mode and your code is read only so you can find the bug.

The circles on the left side of the blocks:

• allows you to slow down the code to do that part slowly so you can find the bug.

• allow you to speed up the code to do those things faster.

• allow you to add break points to stop your program to help you looks for bugs.

• don't do anything.
