He is doing it for generations of those who have walked in love with him. God values our life long relationship as we trust him with our fears.

Genesis 46:3 NIV

• God is not an equal opposite to fear. HE is God, Savior, ALL Powerful

• God knows my fears, he does not disregard it. I am free to focus on God instead of my fears

• Fear cannot cripple my future if I trust God.

Numbers 14:9 NIV

9 Only do not {1}rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will {2}devour them. Their protection is gone, but the {3}Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

With God, Our fears require us to be …..

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

From this verse we see that fear can affect us in many ways, which way does fear affect you most?

2 Chronicles 19:11 (NIV)

... Act with courage, and may the Lord be with those who do well.

James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

• Grow in power then ask God for support

• Search with all our senses and intellect for ways to overcome our fears

• Confess our powerlessness and lack of solution , acknowledge the facts, and focus on God completely

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

• I really don't know what it feels like to be strong and powerful in the Lord as a teenager. It's very abstract.

• God's power seems like an old testament idea, i cant really relate

• I don't have any friends that desire God this way - and they seem to be okay - so I sometimes don't prioritize this command
