S.E.L- Responsible Decision Making: Mental Toughness

We can grow and become stronger from challenging experiences when we

• get frustrated and never try them again

• forget about them

• make personal choices and habits to help us overcome them

In order to become the BEST possible versions of ourselves, we must

• stick to doing things we enjoy and are naturally good at

• make responsible choices to get better, even when its the harder thing to do

• pick and choose when we want to work hard and when its okay to only try a little

When faced with an obstacle that makes us want to quit or take the easy way out, a strategy we can use to help us make the strong, responsible decision is to

• remind ourselves of the goals we set, the hard work it will take to achieve them, and the amazing ways our perseverance will pay off in the end

• think about the easiest way we can get out of the challenging situation

• just ask an adult to do it for us
