Examining similar objects, ideas, or situations to discover unlike or dissimilar qualities or characteristics.

A comparison between 2 unlike things.

An indirect reference to something that explains or enriches the story such as the title "Antaeus". The title of this story refers to the myth of Antaeus, the giant who gained strength from touching the earth.

The teller of the story

The narrator chiefly represents the perspective of only one character.

Notes included in a play, in addition to the dialogue, for the purpose of describing how something should be performed on stage.

A piece of information presented as being objective: A truth which can be proven.

The main message the author wants to express.

The action or sequence of events in a story.
