You probably drove by or stopped at a store of the city’s most famous company this morning, probably for coffee or a breakfast treat.

This city’s team is named after a mid-19th century event that made some people rich and many people look “foolish.”

They have recently moved cities, and their new “indoor” stadium played host to a game that was oddly delayed because of lightning.

This city's team name doesn’t make geographic sense, as the animal is only really seen in America in the southwest part of the country, but when the team was founded, the city’s zoo was home to the oldest living one of this animal.

This city’s team name is a bit of a misnomer, as it’s named after a guy who was born in Iowa, lived in Canada and Kansas, and then made his name in the Wild West. Their fans certainly embrace the attitude of the man the team is named after, routinely not wearing shirts in some awfully cold weather.

In a Disney movie that uses this city's team name, but with a diminutive adjective that creates an oxymoron, the fictional team comes up with a trick play called “The Annexation of Puerto Rico.” 

You wouldn’t think this team name makes much sense, given that the area in which they play is very far from any ocean, but it’s actually a very appropriate name, as there is a prominent certain European immigrant culture in this metropolitan area.

This city's team is named after one of the most famous American poems. The Simpsons even did an episode dedicated to the poem. The Mystery Writers of America each year give out awards named after the poem’s author.

Another team named after a resident of its zoo, this team was almost named the “Buckeyes” because of the overwhelming amount of votes for the name in a local newspaper poll.
