Making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is both easy and delicious. First, get out your materials (peanut butter, jelly, bread and a knife). Second, spread peanut butter on one piece of bread and jelly on another. Third, combine the two haves so that the peanut butter and jelly mix. Lastly, enjoy your sandwich, and don't forget to clean up your mess.

When I got home from school after a long boring day, I took out the peanut butter, jelly and bread. After taking the lid off of the jars, I spread the peanut butter on one side of the bread and the jelly on the other, and then I put the two pieces together. After that, I enjoyed it while watching my favorite show on TV. I swear, that was the best peanut butter and jelly sandich I ever ate!

My family and I went to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The first thing we did when we got there was to take a tour of a space shuttle that once flew into space. During our tour, an astronaut showed us her spacesuit. I even got to try on the space boots. Next, we tasted the food astronauts eat while they are in space. It was really different from other foods that I had eaten but it tasted pretty good. Finally, we got in a special booth that showed us what it is like to be weightless! It was an amazing day.

Clara Buarton was born in Oxford, Massachusetts. She taught school and worked at the United States Patent Office. When the Civil War broke out, Clara worked as a nurse. She brought supplies to soldiers and worked on the battlefield. In fact, she was called the “Angel of the Battlefield.” In 1869, Clara went to Europe. There she worked with the International Red Cross. Clara returned to the U.S in 1873. In 1881, she set up the American National Red Cross. Clara Baurton helped many people in her lifetime.

At one time, Americans couldn’t get from coast to coast by train. The train tracks did not go all the way across the United States. This was a problem because it took months to travel from one side of the country to the other. Suddenly, in the early 1860s, the railroad companies decided to begin building a transcontinental railroad. This railroad would allow Americans to cross the continent in less than a week. What a better way to travel!
