Used to say something or describe a set of information collected. It can also be represented with graphs.

Used to say something about a larger group (population) using information collected from a small part of that population (sample).

It is the entirety of the group including all the members that forms a set of data.

It contains of a few members of the population. It represent the characteristics or traits of the population.

Source of data in which data refers to the first hand data

gathered by the researcher himself.

Source of data in which data collected by someone else

earlier.

It is a characteristic or attribute that can assume different values.

These are variables that can be placed into distinct categories, according to some characteristic or attribute.

These are numerical and can be ordered or ranked.
