A Christmas Carol Chapter 5

The writer says the world is a fairer place because

• He'd like to meet someone with a better laugh than Fred

• when someone is sad it's natural for you to feel sad with them

• although we can catch illness and sadness from people, you can catch laughter just as easy

Fred says he'll visit his uncle every year at Christmas

• Because he wants to make those terrible old offices nicer at Christmas

Fred said they should wish Uncle Scrooge a Merry Christmas because

• his wife's sister guessed the answer correctly

• he'd given them plenty to laugh about

• Christmas is a time when everyone is nicer to each other

Scrooge was enjoying himself so much that he asked the ghost

What was hiding under the ghost's clothes?
