Learning a foreign language opens minds and opens doors as well. Share three possible benefits of learning a foreign language. Explain why the study of Spanish might be increasing in demand currently more than in the past. Share your experience in learning Spanish (or any other language of your choice). Explain how much time it took you to become more fluent and what you did to accomplish that. If you are able, describe some challenges you encounter during your learning journey and how you overcame them?

This summer, you have been challenged to help people in your neighborhood in some way. You could begin a Friends of the Elderly group, a youth group afternoon program or a clean up the earth effort., etc. Describe exactly what you would do and how you encourage others to join you. If you can, explain how this would benefit your neighbor in more ways than one.

Think of someone who is famous that you would like to meet. Who is this person? Describe what you know about this person and why you would like to meet them. If you can, talk about what activities you would do with them and why.

You are talking with a friend about what your ideal career would be. What job interests you and why? Tell about someone you know who has this job. If you can, explain what kind of qualifications or training you would need.

Your friend from Spain wants to know how young people get around in your area. Discuss 3 different ways that a teenager can travel from place to place (walk, bike, go in the car, ride the bus or train) What are the benefits of these different modes of transportation? How do your friends get around? If you can, describe which you prefer to use the most and why?

The food we eat comes from a variety of sources. Describe three of your favorite foods and where they come from: animals, plants, a mix, etc. If you can, discuss how eating these foods could be beneficial.

For many people, traveling is an important way to connect with others. Describe a place you have always wanted to visit. Why do you find it interesting and what would you like to do there? Describe a person or group of people with whom you would want to travel. If you can, describe a trip you have taken in the past.

Families are created differently. Describe each person who lives with you. If you can, describe at least two different activities you do with members of your family. What is your favorite activity and why?

It can be interesting to learn about different kinds of animals. What is your favorite wild animal? What do they eat? Where do they live? If you can, describe what they look like (color, shape, size, etc). .
